Small Changes

In total darkness one has no hope
Then suddenly a tiny flame appears
Now miraculously life has meaning
Dawn appears on the horizon
Hope buds
Then the flame flickers
Uncertainty comes
It goes out
Life goes back to normal
But now there's new hope
